International Day Of The Girl is a United Nations Holiday acknowledging the state of girls throughout the world. As I was building my brand, Rocky Robinson Self-Care for Girls, I wanted to put my stake in the ground around a signature event that celebrated and empowered girls.
Addwomxn was the perfect agency to bring diverse thinking and great creative design to what will be an annual event.
With a thought-out strategy and great creative and PR support provided by the Addwomxn team, we pulled off an amazing event.
On Saturday, October 15, with the partnership of Addwomxn, we had a day of celebration to empower girls and give them the tools they need to dream a brighter future and expand their entire universe.
Along with Addwomxn, our key sponsors included US Bank and Best Buy.
Our key image, designed by Addwomxn Kprecia Ambers, helped amplify our mission and brought joy to to the event space, Fueled Collective.
Our PR was led by Addwomxn Maria Reitan, and we had out-of-this-world results:
- Coverage on WCCO, KSTP, and KARE 11
- 347 girl/families joined us
- 250 dolls given away from vendor Zoe’s Dolls
- 3 Teen girl vendors (one selling out of product) showcased their businesses!
We are grateful for the opportunity to drive attention on issues that matter to girls amongst governments, policymakers and the general public, and use our brand and partnerships with leading Minnesota businesses like Addwomxn to give opportunities for girls to have their voices heard.
I am proud that this event was a successful example of how creative solutions can help overcome challenges and help build communities.
